Hello again, everyone! As promised, I am back with a second post today.
Per usual, sandals are being seen EVERYWHERE for summer. While it can sometimes be fun to get caught up in the latest of-the-moment trends, especially when it comes to shoes (um, hello, how effing cute are all the colorful pom poms, tassels, jewels, and oversized flowers this summer!?!?! I can’t even handle it.), it’s also important to invest in a few pairs of solid, neutral staples.
These 15 pairs above are guaranteed to be worn all summer long, with all kinds of different outfit combinations. My personal faves are 1, 3, 9, 10, and 13.

Which pair is your favorite? Do you have a pair of go-to summer sandals that you wear over and over again?

Hello again, everyone!!! My most sincere apologies for my elongated absence from my beloved blog. It has been a rather hectic and busy last few weeks, between packing, traveling, settling in and getting acquainted at my parents house, starting work, and enjoying my Memorial Weekend, I unfortunately had to put the blog on the back burner for awhile. But I am back now and will hopefully be able to post more consistently! :)
Today I am sharing my latest color crush which, as you see, is any and all shades of pink. This color crush has come on quite recently – I had never been particularly fond of the color pink in the past. However, I am loving the different hues of pink being shown in this summer’s styles, whether it be fuchsia, blush, magenta, or arguably the most popular member of the pink family, coral, I simply adore them all.
At the top of my list is the Juicy Couture espadrilles, the Mango Tasseled Necklace, and the Modcloth dress. That ASOS midi skirt is pretty to-die-for as well, but I just don’t know if that length would be flattering on me though. I had to include it though because it’s so cute and I want everyone else to see it and love it (and maybe buy it!).

P.S. In an effort to come back with a bang and somewhat make up for my absence, look for a SECOND post later today! You’ll have to check back to see what it is :)

Polished Pullover

polished-pullover-accessories Pullover Top: Forever 21 (similar style here and here) | Skirt: OASAP (c/o) | Heels: Target (similar style here here and here) | Clutch: local boutique | Bangles: Jeweliq, Forever 21 | Earrings: Lord & Taylor | Lipstick: NARS in “Heat Wave” | Nail Polish: O.P.I. in “Sparrow Me The Drama”

Aaaand I’m back with a vengeance! I apologize again for being sort of MIA the last week or two, my life is an absolute circus these days. So much to do, so little time…you know the drill.
However, this past weekend I devoted some time to shoot this little ensemble…and, if it isn’t obvious enough from the pictures, I think it was the first time I bared my legs to the world in like 6 months. It was like a foreign concept to me, but Mother Nature finally threw the Midwest a bone this past weekend with temperatures in the 50s and 60s!
I recently picked up this embellished pullover from Forever21 and I’m obsessed. It’s super versatile in that it can be layered over a colored button up or worn by itself. Plus, gray is neutral so it can literally be worn with any other color in the world. The possibilities are endless! (Except for gray on gray…that is my worst nightmare. My boyfriend wears gray sweatpants with gray t-shirts sometimes just to torture me…)
While I chose to take a more dressed-up approach with this pullover, it can just as easily be dressed down with some distressed denim like these or these, and some colored flats like these or these.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and some time in the sunshine!

Forgive My Absence

Hi everyone, I just wanted to apologize for my absence this last week, I have had an extremely hectic and busy week this week and I have been so exhausted and had very little time to blog. However, rest assured that I will be back next week with some good posts for you all! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy the finally warm weather!

Where, oh where, are the warm spring temperatures?! I might go crazy if I have to deal with much more of this freezing rain/mid 40s/cloudy/dreary weather. As is tradition in the midwest, we have had a long, hard, cold winter, and I am desperate for sunshine and warm weather!
More importantly, I am so sick of my winter wardrobe and having to make sure I have as much skin covered as possible before stepping outside. As you can see from my wish list above, I long to wear airy skirts and dresses, and dress up a simple shorts and tee ensemble with fun sandals and attention-grabbing accessories.
What is on your warm weather wish list?

Don’t get me wrong, a girl can never have too much jewelry, but she should at least make an effort to have jewelry that she knows she can wear with more than one, if not several outfit choices. For me, there is nothing more frustrating than when I can’t seem to find the right jewelry to complete my outfit. That gave me the idea to start investing in more neutral, versatile jewelry that will go with every outfit.
These 20 pieces of jewelry above are guaranteed to give you a bang for your buck, as they are guaranteed to be the perfect finishing touch for any ensemble.

Anywho, I hope everyone had an enjoyable easter and was able to find all their eggs on their egg hunts! I’m looking forward to all the Easter candy that is going to be on clearance at Target this week ;) Just kidding, kind of. Can you believe it’s April 1st already?! We are already 1/4 of the way through 2013, people!
Today I rounded up some finds for your home that will give it a fun and fresh feel. We all know it is spring cleaning season (is anyone else avoiding this?), and what better way to reward yourself after all the cleaning than with some new hints of spring color and stylish flair? I can think of nothing. I remember seeing that golden pig in this amazing post where Bradley of Luella & June showed off her AMAZING workspace, and I instantly fell in love with it. I mean, who doesn’t need a humungous golden pig in their home!?

P.S. I am in the process of starting a new guest post series on my blog and will be emailing bloggers this week, but if any bloggers are reading this and would be interested in contributing, feel free to send me an e-mail!
